Help a Girl Become a Race Car Engineer, Chemist, or even an environmental scientist. The Cybermentor Program at the University of Calgary is looking to Go Mobile!

Cybermentor is a program that offers high-quality opportunities for young women to engage with, ask questions, and interact with someone in their possible field of interest. Cybermentor facilitates mentorship between young women and female professionals in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) field. This provides a gateway to opportunities that these young women may not have otherwise had. Access to women in STEM fields via Cybermentor, in addition to workshops, online resources, and other events, provides options for rewarding career paths, while building confidence in girls and opportunities to discover new interests.

Cybermentor is looking to raise $10 000 in funding to take the online platform mobile! The platform needs revamping – to meet the needs of volunteer mentors and mentees on the go. ‘Over 70% of participants have told us that a mobile-friendly system would improve their mentoring experience.’

If Cybermentor can raise $5,000 in donations, McElhanney Land Surveys will match that gift, for a total of $10,000. Help Cybermentor reach its goal by spreading the word about this opportunity, making a donation, and help inspire girls!
