The reusable rocket designed by game changing space industry leader SpaceX made its first test flight. While the rocket did not reach high altitudes, it was a noteworthy step in the next generation of reusable launch systems.

The grasshopper uses the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket and is attached to a support structure atop four legs. Check out the link for footage and stayed tuned for a 100 foot test flight in the next few months.
