Path Among the Stars

Looking up at the sky makes it seem like anything is possible, like you can dream big and it will all come true. I had a very unique opportunity earlier this year to collaborate on a small film, Path Among the Stars, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing! The film (filmed on location at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS)) celebrates the next generation of space explorers and hopefully inspires us all to lift each other up along the way.
I certainly would not be where am I today without my education at the University of Calgary and UTIAS. And a decade working on some of the coolest projects imaginable speaks to the unique opportunities available at MDA, while learning every single day from the best colleagues. A huge thank you also to the folks at UTIAS for helping this film come to life, and to Professor Jonathan Kelly for hosting us at STARS Lab to check out some of their super awesome robots and research!
As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo and look forward to the next 50+ years in space, a gentle reminder that even more is possible when we work together. When we include everyone. When we take the time to listen, acknowledge, and understand each other’s perspectives. Because the space industry needs people from all walks of life imagining, designing, developing, working together, and sharing why we love what we do to make future space missions a reality!
Ad astra.
