High Speed Snowflakes

Check this out – Environment Canada is interested in using a high-speed camera to capture detailed and intricate images of snowflakes as they fall. The images will serve several purposes including studying the evolution of a snowflake as it falls.
Some data that the camera should be able to track is air flow, velocity, acceleration, snowflake size and snowflake shape. The camera would be located north of Toronto, at the King City radar station.
