Check this out – Environment Canada is interested in using a high-speed camera to capture detailed and intricate images of snowflakes as they fall. The images will serve several purposes including studying the evolution of a snowflake as it falls. Some data that the camera should be able to track is air flow, velocity, acceleration, snowflake size and snowflake shape.
